Privacy Policy
Aimax LLC ("Aimax", "us" or "we") recognizes the need for appropriate protection and management of personal information shared with us. This Privacy Notice describes the types of personal information we may collect from users of the STAPPTM application software (the "App"), and the STAPPTM website located at www.stappnow.com (the "Site") (collectively, along with all other STAPP-related services, the "Services").
By expressly assenting to the Terms of Services when subscribing to the App, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Notice. By using the Site, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Notice.
- 1. The Types of Information Collected
We receive and may store any information you enter on our App or Site, provide to our agents by e-mail, or give us in any other way. For example, when you download or use the App and enable location capability, we may receive information about the location of your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. When you sign up to use the App, you will provide us with personal information, such as your name, telephone number, e-mail address, and age. You also will provide a user name and a password. You also will have the choice of providing a name and image associated with the person who will be using the mobile device linked with the App.
If you provide us with feedback, or contact customer support via e-mail, we will collect and may store the data included in the communication.
We do not collect financial or payment information, as that information is provided by you directly to the app store from which the App is downloaded and licensed. Please familiarize yourself with the terms and privacy notices associated with that app store.
We also receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us through the Site. For example, we use "cookies" and other technologies such as web beacons, and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses the Site or advertisements, or when you use the App. Examples of the information we may collect and analyze include device operating system, device model and type, Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information such as browser type, version, and time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, platform, OS version, serial number, UDID, IMEI, sim carrier network, wifi and bluetooth systems. If you enable location data capabilities, we will be able to track the geographic location of the mobile device paired with the App.
Information stored by Aimax or by Aimax's vendors on its behalf are stored in servers located in the United States.
- 2. How We Use the Information Collected
We use the information that you provide to create, develop, operate, deliver and improve our product and services, content and advertising. We also use personal information to respond to your requests or feedbacks, to communicate with you and for loss prevention and anti-fraud purposes.
If you provide suggestions or recommendations to us, we may use such information in any manner deemed appropriate to improve our offering.
We may use the personal information we have about you to communicate with you about the Services. For example, we may send you notices of modifications to this Privacy Notice, our terms and conditions or other legal notices.
We also may use information we have about you for internal purposes, such as data analysis, research and auditing designed to improve the Services, enhance data security and develop new offerings. We use cookies and other technologies to remember your information when you use our Site and App to make your experience more convenient. We also use this information to understand and analyze trends, to administer the Site, to learn about user behavior on the Site, to improve our product and services, to gather information about our user base as a whole, and in our marketing and advertising services.
If you choose to participate in a contest or similar promotion, we may use the information you provide to manage and administer such promotion.
- 3. Sharing of Information Collected From You
Aimax shares personal information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf. For example, we share information with vendors who help us perform mobile application management services, customer service, assessment of your interest in our Services and for customer research and satisfaction surveys. These companies are contractually obligated to protect your information and may not use the information other than for the purpose of providing specific services on our behalf.
Aimax may also disclose information collected from you if such disclosure is necessary in connection with any investigation or complaint regarding your use of the Services, or to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with Aimax's rights or property, or the rights or property of users of the Services. Aimax may disclose any information to comply with
applicable laws, regulations, legal processes or governmental requests.
Aimax may disclose information collected from you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce Aimax's terms and conditions.
Aimax may disclose information collected from you in the event of an emergency, when reasonably necessary to protect the health or safety of Aimax, its employees, customers or any other person.
In the event of a reorganization, merger or sale, Aimax may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third parties.
Aimax will not sell, lease or share the personal information we collect from you to anyone for their use in connection with marketing or solicitation of their products or services.
We do not use any information provided by you for the purposes of automated decision-making, including profiling. - 4. Protection of Information Collected from You
Aimax takes concrete steps to safeguard the information you provide and maintains administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect against loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of the personal information we collect through our Services. For example, when personal information is stored by Aimax or its third-party vendors on behalf of Aimax, we use computer systems with limited access, which are housed in facilities that use physical security measures. In addition, personal data is stored in encrypted form. Aimax's employees are trained on adequate data protection practices. It is your duty to maintain your password in a safe place, not to divulge it to anyone and to sign off when not using the App or the Site.
- 5. Choices and Data Retention
Aimax makes it easy for you to keep your personal information accurate, complete and up to date. You may request access to and update the personal information you give to us at any time by writing to info@stappnow.com. For other personal information we hold, we will provide you with access (including a copy) for any purpose including to request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if Aimax is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business reasons. Please include "Profile Access/Update Request" on the subject line of your correspondence. We may decline to process requests that are frivolous, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law.
You may opt-out of receiving Service-related promotional emails by following the instructions in those e-mails or by writing to info@stappnow.com. Please include "Email Opt Out" on the subject line of your correspondence. If you opt-out of receiving promotional e-mails, you might still receive non-promotional communications, such as e-emails concerning your account.
Aimax will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- 6. Information About Children
Neither the App, nor any other portion of the Services, is designed or intended for use by children. Aimax does not permit anyone under the age of 18 to sign up to use the App. We also do not knowingly send e-email correspondence to anyone who tells us that they are under the age of 13.
- 7. Links to Third-Party Sites
The Site may contain links to other web sites operated and maintained by third parties, over which we have no control. Privacy statements on such linked sites may be different from our Privacy Notice. You access such linked sites at your own risk.
- 8. Updates to Privacy Notice
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will not reduce any of your rights stated in this Privacy Notice without notifying you of the changes and giving you an opportunity to accept them or cease your use of the Services. Amendments to this Privacy Notice will become effective immediately for new users of the Services.
